Scope
These Event Terms & Conditions (“Event Terms”) apply to Quantinuum SG Grand Challenge 2026 (the “Event”), organised by Aqora Quantum SAS on behalf of the Event’s promoter, Quantinuum Pte. Ltd. (“Quantinuum”). Participation is free for attendees and competitors; sponsorships are governed by separate agreements.
Event format and dates
The Event includes global online activities leading up to an in-person Finale in Singapore on 19 November 2026 (date subject to change). Specific schedules, venues, and joining instructions will be announced on the Site or by email.
Your team must attend the Finale in person to be eligible for a prize. Quantinuum may waive this requirement for individual team members at its discretion where circumstances beyond a team member’s control prevent their attendance.
Eligibility
Participation is open globally. Participants must be aged 18 or over.
Registration and selection
Registering interest does not guarantee selection or admission. We may limit participation to ensure quality, safety, and diversity of disciplines.
Acceptance into the Event will be decided by Quantinuum at its discretion, and we will be providing your details (name, email, organisation) to Quantinuum for this purpose.
Travel, visas, insurance
Participants are responsible for their own travel documents, visas, and insurance. Unless expressly stated in writing, travel and accommodation are not provided.
Code of Conduct
All participants, mentors, judges, sponsors, and staff must follow the Code of Conduct. Breaches may result in removal from the Event.
Aqora Platform and Event Portal
Participants will be given access to the event portal (“Portal”) within the Aqora Platform (“Platform”). Participants will need to have an account on the Platform and to accept any applicable terms of use for the Platform and the Portal.
Quantinuum Systems
The Portal may include features provided by Quantinuum’s platform known as Nexus (“Nexus Platform”). Use of the Nexus Platform is subject to the Nexus Platform Terms and Conditions and the Quantum System Terms and Conditions. By accepting these Event Terms, and by making any use of the Portal or the Nexus Platform, you accept those Quantinuum terms and conditions.
Health & safety
Follow all venue rules and staff instructions. Do not engage in unsafe activities. If you feel unwell, inform the staff.
Intellectual property
Participants retain ownership of code, designs, data, and other materials created for the Event (“Submissions”). By making a Submission, you grant Aqora and Quantinuum a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, revocable licence to evaluate, test, display, and showcase your Submission for Event operations, judging, post-Event reporting, and promotion (including websites and social media). You remain responsible for ensuring your Submission does not infringe third-party rights and for complying with any open-source licences you use.
Data and publicity
We may photograph and record the Event. By attending, you consent to being included in Event media and to Aqora and Quantinuum using such media for documentation and promotion. If you prefer not to be recorded, please inform staff; we will take reasonable steps (e.g., non-photography lanyards) where feasible.
Personal Data
Aqora’s use of your personal data is governed by our privacy policy. Quantinuum’s use of your personal data is governed by Quantinuum’s privacy policy. Please ensure you have read and understood these policies.
In particular:
- Aqora and Quantinuum may each use your personal data to contact you in relation to the Grand Challenge, including event notifications, updates, administrative communications, and other information relating to your participation.
- Quantinuum may disclose your personal data, including your name, job title, company, and attendance at the Event, to its affiliated companies, to A*STAR Research Entities (ARES) and, where necessary, other relevant third parties, in each case as reasonably necessary for the administration and management of the Grand Challenge.
- If you have consented to receiving marketing communications from either Aqora or Quantinuum, then Aqora and Quantinuum (as the case may be) may send you information about future events, programmes, initiatives, and other marketing or promotional communications. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of participation. You may withdraw your marketing consent and unsubscribe at any time by following the instructions in any marketing communication or by contacting Aqora or Quantinuum (as applicable).
To the extent any of the above processing of personal data takes place in Singapore, you consent to such processing.
Changes, cancellation, force majeure
We may modify the Event programme, postpone, or cancel for reasons beyond our control (e.g., safety, venue issues, strikes, public health). Where feasible, we will communicate promptly. No compensation is payable for free participation.
Prizes
Prizes, including Helios Hardware Quantum Credits (HQCs) for use on the Helios quantum computer to be located in Singapore, will be awarded to winning teams as announced on the Site. Prize details, eligibility criteria, and distribution timelines will be communicated to participants in advance of the Finale.
Prizes are non‑transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Quantinuum reserves the right to substitute prizes of equivalent value at its discretion.
Winners may be required to provide additional information for prize fulfilment, and use of the HQCs will be subject to the applicable terms of use.
Prizes will be allocated to each winning team, and distribution and sharing of the prizes within each team is solely a matter for the members of that team. Neither Aqora or Quantinuum has any responsibility for how individual team members use the prizes allocated to that team.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aqora and Quantinuum are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Event Terms are governed by French law. The courts of Paris (France) have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
